Miller Welding & Machine Co. Named a Top Fabricator
BROOKVILLE, Pa – June 18, 2018 – Miller Welding & Machine Company (MWM), a strategic metal fabrication partner for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), has been named to The Fabricator Magazine’s 2018 Fab 40 list. This year marks the company’s first time on the list.
“This is a high honor for us, as The Fabricator is an esteemed publication within the metal forming and fabricating industry. We’re ecstatic to be recognized as one of the top ten fabricators in the country,” said Eric D. Miller, president of Miller Welding & Machine.
“Fab 40 is our attempt to give a sense of the industry’s health through revenue figures from each company. Most custom fabricators are private businesses, so this list gives our readers a window into the sector,” said Tim Heston, senior editor at The Fabricator. “For this year’s list, to be in the top ten like Miller Welding & Machine Co., a business must have revenue of more than $70 million.”
Over the last 50 years, MWM has evolved from a small, three-person operation into a single-source strategic partner for innovative OEMs with a global presence. The company employs approximately 400 people throughout the Western Pennsylvania region across three plants, and ranks within the top 15 employers in Jefferson County. Recently, the company added new leveling capabilities with the acquisition of the ARKU FlatMaster® 120. MWM is one of only three companies in the U.S. to own and operate this machine.
The company’s next webinar, “The Path to Stability During a Time of Tariffs,” will have a session on Monday, June 18 from 2:00 – 2:30 p.m. EDT. This free event will cover the impact of the steel and aluminum tariffs on OEM supply chains and how manufacturers may seek stability among their strategic partner base during times of uncertainty.
