Visitors to Miller’s MFG Day events will see advanced manufacturing automation in action

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Sept. 18, 2025 – Miller Fabrication Solutions (Miller), a strategic steel fabrication partner for global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), will offer free plant tours on Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) Friday, Oct. 3. Held the first Friday of every October, MFG Day is a nationwide event designed to encourage students and local community members to learn about and consider rewarding careers in manufacturing.  

Each year, Miller hosts diverse groups that include educators, students, customers, vendors and the public. On Oct. 3, three of Miller’s plants will be open for MFG Day tours.

People who visit will see advanced manufacturing automation in action. At Miller’s new, 186,000-square-foot Pine Creek plant, for example, visitors will be able to see the Trumpf TruLaser Center 7030, a state-of-the-art laser cutter, and a precision Messer plasma cutting machine. Miller is only the second manufacturer in the nation to pair the Messer plasma cutting machine with a material handling system and smart crane, which maximizes productivity by automating loading, unloading and part sorting.

Manufacturing helps communities and future generations thrive. As manufacturers seek to fill nearly 4 million jobs over the next decade, MFG Day builds understanding and excitement around the opportunities and benefits of working in the industry. This annual, national event provides a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes and learn about the trends, technologies and processes that drive modern manufacturing.

Miller’s MFG Day tours will run every 30 minutes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. EDT at these locations:
